Donald Trump did not get my vote either time. The juice was not worth the squeeze. Trump did put people to work and he did reinvigorate our manufacturing base. Trump ignored the Palestinians and now there is a peace treaty in the ME. Why he ignored them when so many did not before is open to a lot of debate. That said, if the US were a small town, he would be the town drunk, who would flash passing young ladies and pick fights in the street with school age boys. To say the least, he was inappropriate.
We as a nation ... lynched the town drunk. I am not talking about the election, I am talking about the prior four years of made up stories. There was plenty wrong about Trump. We made up shit and prosecuted him for ... the made up shit. It was a circus. The entire nation disgraced itself. We lynched a sitting president. From the get go. There was no 100 day post election cool down and rapprochement which is what I saw every president since I could remember. I remember Nixon.
There is not one news outlet whose transcripts I would use to wipe my ass with. There is not one politician who spoke the truth. Many, on both sides, made up lies from whole cloth. Either Trump was 100% evil or he was the God emperor. A few tried to not put this into a black and white rubric and frankly most failed. Everyone was scared of the woke lynch mob.
I am not proud of us right now. I was surprised in 2016. I was also surprised in 2020. Biden is dumber than trump and it appears he will rule by executive order. His first 100 days has seen gas spike in price and a witch hunt has begun in the military. These are not signs of good things to come.
